A MUCH loved ferret has gone missing in Laindon – leaving its owner heartbroken.

Four-month-old Blossom escaped from her cage in Temple Close on Monday afternoon and hasn’t been seen since.

Not only has it left 20-year-old Melanie Cottage devastated, she also fears for her other pet ferret Dylan who is missing his buddy.

Miss Cottage, a beauty therapist, said: “I’ve trained Blossom to be really friendly with humans and hope someone has found her. Dylan is getting really depressed.”

Melanie and her boyfriend Ben Lovelock, also 20, have put up posters around the area in the hope someone has seen her or taken her in.

They bought them from a breeder in Surrey when they were just eight-weeks-old.

Miss Cottage added: “I’m sure someone has picked her up as I’ve knocked on doors and people have said someone else was asking about a ferret.”

If you have seen Blossom call Ben on 07525 330983.
