AN ELDERLY motorist smashed through the window of a packed hairdresser’s, after he reversed out of a parking bay.
The 82-year-old crashed his automatic Vauxhall Astra through the front of Blood Sweat & Shears in Rayleigh Road, Eastwood. The shop was full when the accident happened at 9.45am yesterday, but no one was injured.
Paramedics checked the man, who was badly shaken but who did not need treatment.
Salon owner Michele Shelley, 44, said the shopfront was boarded up and the salon would be open as normal.
She added: “We nearly lived up to our name – Blood, Sweat & Shears! It’s our busiest time and people are concerned about getting their hair done for their Christmas parties.”
