Back home – Keith Ashbolt, the owner of Just Bikes, has finally moved his business back to the shop which was devastated by fire last year
A BIKE shop owner is back in business, almost a year-and-a-half after arsonists reduced his premises to rubble.
Just Bikes, in London Road, Leigh, was destroyed last April, along with half of the neighbouring furniture store Mad Dogs and Englishmen.
Owner Keith Ashbolt, 47, who lost £80,000 worth of stock, has been at temporary premises, opposite the Elms pub also in London Road, selling his clothing, helmets and accessories.
He has now moved his accessory business back to one half of his original shop, now called Ultimate Bike Gear. The other half is recently opened Frenchie’s Motorcycles, which sells bikes.
A 12-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of starting a fire but was relased without charge.
