TOM Stephen earned East Thurrock a point  on another weekend where the south Essex non-league scene was hard hit again by the weather.

Stephen equalised from the penalty spot in the 59th minute to cancel out Liam Hope's opener for Enfield Town,  which had also come from a spot kick at Rookery Hill in the 42nd minute.

The Ryman Premier match was played in front of a crowd of 293 and left Rocks in 20th place in the table, above Thamesmead Town on goal difference.

Canvey Island saw their Essex derby trip to AFC Hornchurch postponed, while Billericay's trip to Wealdstone was also called off to make it four postponements on the trot for Craig Edwards' team.

Canvey are 13th in the Ryman Premier standings, with Billericay two points adrift in 14th, although Town have four matches in hand on the Gulls.

Concord Rangers' trip to Tonbridge Angels was one of five Skrill South matches to fall foul of the weather. Danny Cowley's Beachboys are 12th in the table.

Hullbridge Sports' trip to Sholing in the fourth round of the FA Vase was postponed, with Dan Braney's troops likely to make the trip to Southampton on Tuesday evening.

It was another disappointing weekend for the Essex Senior League as the whole programme was wiped out by waterlogged pitches.

Thst means new dates will have to be found for Basildon United v FC Romania, Bowers & Pitsea v Barking and Great Wakering v Clapton.

Southend Manor's trip to Eton Manor was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch and has been rescheduled for  Wednesday, February 26.
