EX-BASILDON United manager Bertie Brayley has been appointed player-manager of Burnham Ramblers.
The former Swindon Town, Canvey Island, Margate, Braintree Town and Chelmsford City man - also an FA Youth Cup winner with West Ham - is taking the reins at the Ryman North side from Lee Elliston.
Elliston resigned earlier this week, citing work commitments as the reason for his departure.
Brayley will take charge for the first time in tomorrow's pre-season friendly at home to Ryman Premier and county rivals East Thurrock United.
David Patient will be Brayley's assistant manager, with Leon Woodford first-team coach.
