Canvey Island have strengthened their backline with the signing of two goalkeepers.
Melvin Minter, formerly of Brentford’s youth academy, has signed a deal to play for the Gulls this season as has Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton. The ex-Stoke City trainee and Chelmsford City stopper will be vying for the number one jersey with Minter, who played in the 2-2 draw against Maldon & Tiptree on Tuesday.
St Louis-Hamilton had been training with West Ham United but Danny Heale has persuaded the 24-year-old to play for the Ryman Premier team.
Sixteen-year-old Danny Boness, a Hammers youth keeper, has returned to the club after Heale decided against keeping him for the new season.
