EAST Thurrock United have re-signed record goalscorer Sam Higgins from Conference South side Bromley.

Higgins had re-joined Rocks in February this year to help John Coventry's side avoid the drop, and he was instrumental in helping them do so - netting a dozen times to ensure they retained their Ryman Premier League status.

He became the club's all-time record goal scorer in the process and joins having played in three of Bromley's five opening matches, having signed for them at the end of last term.

East Thurrock have struggled for goals this year, having scored only four times in six games.

Higgins is expected to go into the squad ahead of this weekend's game against Harrow Borough at Rookery Hill.
