BILLERICAY Town have added former Arsenal striker Nigel Neita to their ranks.

Neita, 20, joins from Dulwich Hamlet and was in the side that came to New Lodge this month, helping his team to a 2-1 win.

But Neita, who is also a Jamaican international, will now link up with fellow countryman Ricky Sappleton and vie for a starting position with the likes of Junior Appiah and Frazer Shaw in wide positions and Sappleton, Chris Benjamin, Seedy Njie and Rowan Liburd up front.

The former Arsenal youngster came through Millwall’s Youth Academy and has already found the net for Dulwich this season. He was released by the Gunners at the end of the 2013 season, after representing the club’s under-21 side, playing alongside the likes of Craig Eastmond and Sanchez Watt, who both currently play for League One side Colchester United.

After he left Arsenal the speedster was on trial at Scunthorpe United and Swindon Town and played for Met Police last year.

He started last night against Bognor Regis Town, which Town lost 2-1.
