Met Police 2-1 Billericay Town
Ryman Premier
From Imber Court
A STRIKE in injury time condemned Billericay Town to their fifth league loss in a row.
Ricky Sappleton started his first game in over a month to give Craig Edwards’ men as they bid to turnaround a terrible league run that has seen them lose three on the bounce.
And it was the burly striker who put the visitors ahead in this match with less than 15 minutes on the clock.
And that was how it stayed until seconds before the break and it was ex Canvey Island man Rob Bartley who equalised from a set piece.
It appeared that was how it would stay but, as the match entered the 90th minute substitute Matt Pattison struck to condemn Billericay to another league defeat.
Billericay Town: Lumley, Sterling (Sheehan), O’Hanlon, Imudia, Scott, Halle, Edwards, Lechmere (Appiah), Poole, Benjamin, Sappleton
