ADAM Hickey made it five Southend 10km victories on the bounce as hundreds took to the seafront streets for the annual race.
Hickey, 26, who runs for Southend AC, has now run his home-town event eight times in 11 attempts.
His training partner Gemma Kersey, of Basildon AC, won the women’s race, her second win in a row.

Hickey’s winning time of 30m 26s was his fastest ever winning time while Kersey clocked her fastest time around the course of 35m 40s.

It was a one-two-three for home club Southend AC at the sharp end of the race.
Paul Whittaker followed Hickey in second place in 30m 52s with Rhys Gillard third in a personal best time of 33m 36s.
