EAST Thurrock United will travel to League Two’s bottom side Hartlepool United in the First Round of the FA Cup.
The tie against Pools is Rocks' reward for thrashing Bath City 7-1 on Saturday and their manager John Coventry was happy enough with the draw.
“It’s a long way to go, but I’m happy,” said Coventry who was watching the draw with his team at Billericay Town’s clubhouse before their Essex Senior Cup tie on Monday night.
“I really wanted Coventry and they were the next team out of the hat so we were pretty close!
“We’ve played League clubs in the cup before and will be really looking forward to it.”
The tie will be played on either Saturday, November 8 or Sunday, November 9.
