Tonbridge Angels 0-1 Billericay Town
From Longmead Stadium
Ryman Premier
JACOB Cleaver's decisive counter-attacking goal was the difference for Billericay Town as they won their first league game in two months.
Town scored with ten minutes left on the clock to take the three points – Cleaver netting his first since rejoining the team.
However, the real hero of the piece was Billy Lumley. The goalkeeper produced a tremendous last minute double save to keep his clean sheet intact.
Cyrus Mahler had the first chance of the game, his free-kick tipped over the crossbar. But it was a poor first-half and, after the break Dee Okojie tested Lumley.
Tommy Whitnell was denied soon after before the decisive point of the game. Afolabi Obafemi was freed after an Angels attack broke down and he passed to Jacob Cleaver, who passed into the net.
Cleaver was denied a second before the 90 minutes and that was almost costly.
But Lumley denied Tom Parkinson to hand Craig Edwards’ men the points.
Billericay Town: Lumley, Sheehan, O’Hanlon, Mahler, Halle, Scott, Poole, Michael-Percil (Ferguson), Obafemi, Nash (Edwards), Cleaver
