IT was a successful night for Canvey Island and Billericay Town in the Essex Senior Cup.

Both sides enjoyed single goal wins away from home, with Billericay claiming a last gasp victory at Harlow Town.

Town won 3-2 at the Ryman North leaders in the fourth round tie, with an injury time goal from Afolabi Obafemi sending the visitors in the quarter-finals.

The defeat was Harlow's first home loss of the season.

Canvey Island won at Witham Town in the third round thanks to a solitary goal from Ishmail Kamara.

The striker scored the only goal of the game to set up a fourth round tie at Redbridge.

In the Ryman Premier League, East Thurrock United were indebted to a 90th minute equaliser from Sam Higgins, as they played out a 1-1 draw against Leatherhead.
