East Thurrock United 0-5 Met Police

TEN man East Thurrock United’s impressive league form came to an emphatic end against a rampant Met Police outfit.
Rocks were dealt a crushing blow when they heard that goalkeeper David Hughes would be unavailable through illness, meaning midfielder Nicky Symons would be taking his place between the sticks.
The match was littered with a number of yellow cards for both sides, with Dave Bryant shown a second yellow card before the second half had even kicked off, and the hosts went behind after only three minutes.
East Thurrock hadn’t lost in the league since the middle of September but came into the match with a host of injuries, and they paid the price early on.
Charlie Collins Scored the first, with his well-timed run picked out by Ryan James and he slotted past the onrushing Symons.
The lead was doubled moments later and it came from the penalty spot.
Reece Harris was adjudged to have fouled Bradley Hudson-Odoi and Collins stepped up to score his second of the match.
Bryant was controversially shown a yellow card before the start of the second period, supposedly for dissent, and that proved costly.
Met Police's third came from a corner after the break. The Rocks were unable to clear their line and Steve Sutherland struck home the loose ball.
The fourth was scored by Matt Pattison, as he slotted home the rebound after the Met substitute Nikki Ahamed's effort crashed off the bar.
Jay Lovett, headed home from a corner at the back post, to complete the scoring.
East Thurrock United: Symons, Sammons, Stephen, Peddie, Wood, Bryant, Parmenter, Goodacre, Higgins, Smith, Harris
