ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE: Bowers & Pitsea are aiming to make it eight wins in a row when they welcome Enfield 1893 tomorrow.

Rob Small’s side have been in unstoppable form in recent weeks, having scored 29 times in their last five games and can be confident of extending that run against a side struggling in 15th place.

And Bowers haven’t given up hope of promotion this year, despite sitting 22 points behind runaway leaders Haringey Borough.

With four games in hand on the top side, Bowers can close to 10 points and they are hoping to start tomorrow.

They will be without Neil Marron (knee) for the match although Small admits his biggest problem is who to choose, after he made seven changes from last weekend’s 8-0 win over FC Romania against Hullbridge Sports, a match they won 3-1.

Sports are at home to Stansted as they look to play their first home league match at Lower Road since November.

Hullbridge, who were frontrunners at the start of the season, have struggled in recent weeks and sit 10th in the table. Their opponents tomorrow are two places above them in the league although Sports will leapfrog them with a win.

Sports may be without captain Rob Hodgson (knee), Matt Brinklow (dead leg) and Aaron Hunwicks (hamstring) for the game with the hosts aiming to recover from three cup exits already this year.

Basildon United visit Eton Manor with a full squad available to manager Craig Gillam.

Bees will be hoping to follow up their away draw against third-placed Barking against 17th placed Manor.

Manor are without a win in their last three matches, with Gillam confident of extending that run tomorrow.
