CONCORD Rangers claimed another fine point on the road at promotion-chasing Whitehawk despite a number of injury concerns.

The Beach Boys were without Alex Woodyard who was on England C duty and had a number of players carrying knocks but they were more than a match for Hawks, who sat in the play-offs before the game.

A surprise inclusion by manager Danny Cowley was striker Lewis Taaffe, who he had said only a week ago could miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

But Taaffe came in and had a hand in the first goal, sliding in strike parter Steve Cawley who converted his 15th goal of an impressive season after 38 minutes.

Concord created a number of chances as they looked to extend their advantage over the side they had beaten 3-0 last month but were unable to find the net.

And Danny Mills levelled the match with 18 minutes to go, to hand the hosts a point.

Concord edge closer to their target of 45 points, which Cowley believes will be enough to keep them in the Conference South this season.
