ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE: Basildon United are aiming to return to winning ways when they visit London Bari tomorrow.

The Bees will be looking to get the better of their mid-table rivals when they travel to the Old Spotted Dog, the home of Clapton, in a bid to break into the top half of the table.

Following a fine run over Christmas, Craig Gillam’s side fell to defeat against Takeley last week in what was a surprising result considering the recent form of the two sides.

Bees will be without recent addition Kadeem Campbell (groin), Terry Griffiths (work) and Loranzo Ramsay (knee) for the match.

Twelfth-placed Basildon are a place and six points below Hullbridge Sports and are keen to bridge the gap to the top half.

Sports meanwhile are looking to extend the gap to chasing Basildon when they visit second from bottom Greenhouse London.

Mark Bliss’ side have been on a difficult run of late, and have lost three of the last four matches.

Sports are expected to have talismanic captain Rob Hodgson available to them once again after a spell on the sidelines.

However, such is fixture congestion, Sports may soon be faced with three games a week.

Southend Manor are on a dismal 11-match losing streak and have their work cut out if they want to end that run, as league leaders Haringey Borough visit Southchurch Park tomorrow.

Borough have accumulated 46 more points than Manor already this term, although Wayne Seal’s Manor are looking to reduce that gap tomorrow.
