Bath City 1-1 Concord Rangers
From Twerton Park
Conference South
CONCORD Rangers’ made it 10 unbeaten in the Conference South after substitute Tony Stokes plundered an equaliser with a goal two minutes from time.
The Beach Boys have been in terrific form in recent weeks and were looking to emulate their 3-0 opening day victory over Bath on Saturday.
But both sides failed to get a grip of this match, with opportunities scarce in the first-half.
Indeed the first real chance produced the opening goal, when Frankie Artus crossed for Phil Walsh to head home.
As half-time approached, Danny Cowley’s team should have been level. Lewis Taaffe played in Sam Collins but his shot lacked power and was comfortably cleared in the end.
Jeremy Walker was substituted at half-time after taking a knock, with Jack Lampe taking to the field, but Concord were struggling to create against a resilient home defence.
Stokes shot over from long-range, before Josh Vickers denied Ashley Kington.
But it was Concord who had the last laugh as Stokes profited from Collins’s through ball and scored off the post.
Concord Rangers: Vickers, Walker (Lampe), King, Fry, Glozier, Miles, Woodyard, White, Taaffe (Ogilvie), Cawley (Stokes), Collins
