HULLBRIDGE Sports crushed third-placed FC Romania 7-0 to move up to fifth in the table and continue their impressive recent run.

A six minute hat-trick from Charlie Little, a brace from Mike Edgar, plus goals from Bobby Barker and Tino handed the home side the points in a rampant display.

The game started slowly and Romania had a number of half-chances, before Little shot over and saw another effort come back off the post.

The goal came five minutes before half-time, as substitute Barker finished well after a neat passing move.

Edgar doubled the advantage just before the break before Little took over.

Three goals in the space of six second half-minutes put Sports 5-0 up before an hour had been played.

Edgar added his second before Jamie Buffin saw an effort come back off the crossbar.

Tino Mtangeoura got on the score sheet with 15 minutes to go to complete a good night’s work for Mark Bliss’ men.

Southend Manor scored six as they put Sporting Bengal United to the sword in a match between the league’s bottom two sides.

Manor went ahead after only two minutes, after Max Drury cut back for Nick Henesy to crash home.

Sporting equalised after 30 minutes following a defensive lapse in concentration, but Aaron Baldwin restored the lead soon after, lobbing over the Bengal stopper.

Manor ran riot in the second-half, making it 3-1 eight minutes after the break when Henesy finished well once again.

He could have had his hat-trick soon after but he squared unselfishly for Drury to open his account on the night.

Drury soon scored his second and completed his treble soon after after more good work from strike partner Baldwin.
