BOWERS & Pitsea beat rivals Basildon United in the Essex Senior League Cup to set up a semi-final date with Haringey Borough.
A devastating spell shortly before half-time, in which three goals in seven minutes put the Bees to the sword, handed Bowers the advantage and the home side could never recover.
The first goal came seven minutes before the half-time whistle as Luka Frankis teed up Stuart Williams to slot home.
And Rob Small’s side took advantage of two defensive errors to stretch their advantage before the break.
Firstly, Tom Hine scored after a defensive slip before the same man profited from a goalkeeping error soon after.
