FINAL DAY ROUND-UP: Concord Rangers are hopeful of securing a sixth-placed finish in the Conference South with a win over already-relegated Farnborough tomorrow.

Having secured the Essex Senior Cup with a thumping 5-0 win over Billericay Town, inset, the Beach Boys return to league action looking to cap off a terrific season with their highest-ever league finish.

A win could see Concord finish above Gosport Borough, who are two points above them in the division and they will be confident of beating relegated Boro.

Concord have won all three of their previous meetings, scoring 14 goals in the process without conceding – including a 7-0 win earlier this season.

Billericay Town will be aiming to get over their miserable night in the Essex Senior Cup with a win on the final day at VCD Athletic.

Town were crushed 5-0 on the final day last season and will be hoping to put in a better showing against relegation-threatened VCD.

Town can still finish the season as high as seventh, and manager Craig Edwards hopes to be able to mount a stronger challenge on the promotion places next season.

On-loan Millwall defender Keaton Wood is out, although Joe Wright, Teddy Nesbitt and Taku Mashingaidze all return having been cup-tied in the week.

East Thurrock United end their Ryman Premier League season at champions Maidstone United, with their own play-off campaign ending earlier this month.

Rocks had spent much of this season in the play-offs having only survived relegation from the division on the final day last year.

But only two wins in the last 13 games left East Thurrock’s play-off hopes in tatters.

However, a win against the champions could see John Coventry’s 13th-placed side end the year as high as eighth.

However, they face an uphill task as the Stones have only lost one home game all season.

Coventry is hopeful Max Cornhill will be fit for the game although Ross Parmenter is a doubt with a back injury.

Great Wakering Rovers end their season with a relatively short trip to Aveley.

Rovers secured their Ryman One North status at the start of April and are now aiming to finish as the best of the rest with three points.

Currently 15th, Rovers lead a pack of three teams on 52 points although have a vastly superior goal difference.

Manager Dan Trenkel says he can’t believe how quickly the season has gone, and he has a number of injury concerns ahead of their final game.

Lewis Sparrow is missing with a neck injury and Ellis Sands is unavailable with work.

But top scorer Jay Nash does return from holiday.
