THE fixtures computer has thrown up an south-east Essex derby on the opening weekend of the Ryman Premier League season with East Thurrock United welcoming Billericay Town to Rookery Hill.
Elsewhere on the opening day, which this year is on Saturday, August, 8, Canvey go to Dulwich Hamlet.
In the Ryman One North, Great Wakering Rovers will host Soham Town Rangers at Burroughs Park.
The first of the always much-anticipated Billericay versus Canvey derby clashes takes place on the August Bank Holiday Monday at New Lodge with the Gulls welcoming Town to Park Lane for the return fixture on Boxing Day.
East Thurrock United and Canvey clash on Saturday, October 10 (at Rookery Hill) and on Saturday, February 13 (at the Prospects Stadium).
Rocks face Enfield Town at home on Boxing Day while, in Ryman One North, Great Wakering Rovers host big-spending AFC Hornchurch on the day after Christmas.
