Danny Heale - pleased with what he saw
A BUMPER crowd saw Canvey Island beat a West Ham United XI at the Prospects Stadium tonight.
The Gulls welcomed 2,296 supporters through the turnstiles, and they were not disappointed with the result, as Danny Heale's side won 2-0 in their final game of pre-season.
Goals from Jay Curran in the first half and trialist Ayrton Coley with 10 minutes to go saw Canvey beat the young Hammers side.
Heale's men travel to Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday for their Ryman Premier League opener.
