Billericay Town 6-0 Met Police

Ryman Premier League
BILLERICAY Town came up trumps for manager Craig Edwards after they thumped Met Police 6-0 to record a long overdue win.
Strikes from new acquisition Mike Fondop, Teddy Nesbitt, Cliff Akurang, Alex Stephenson, Onome Sodje and Shane Cojocarel were enough for Town against their fellow strugglers.
Town were desperate for a good performance after Edwards described the performance against Hampton & Richmond Borough as ‘spineless’.
And that was what he got.
The first goal came early on through Cameroonian Fondop, with Nesbitt notching four minutes before half-time.
Veteran striker Akurang scored his first goal for his new employers 10 minutes after the interval, with young defender Stephenson adding his name to the score sheet.
There was still time for Sodje and Cojocarel to score before the end, on what was a thoroughly encouraging night for Edwards.
