A 93rd minute winner from Fahad Nyanja kept Basildon United’s promotion push on course against a strong Wadham Lodge side.

Nyanja netted deep into injury time with a composed finish to make it 4-3 in a dramatic game that had seen the Bees lead twice only to be pegged back.

Lodge had taken the lead after 28 minutes but back came Basildon as Brad Hunter powered home a leveller shortly before the break.

Brad Warner made it 2-1 from close range just after half-time only for Paul Shave to put past his own goalkeeper and level the match.

But Shave found the net at the right end on the hour mark to make it 3-2 only for Wadham to seemingly get a point when they levelled with 15 minutes remaining.

But Nyanja had the last laugh in a thrilling encounter.

Hullbridge were 3-1 winners at Sporting Bengal United to end a rotten run of form.

Sports fell behind after 14 minutes, but Jimmy Cox make his efforts count as he picked up a brace.

Cox came off at half time after he picked up an injury, but Sports were bringing on top scorer Luke Hornsley.

And Hornsley was only on the pitch 11 minutes when he put the game beyond Bengal.

Coach Aaron Hunwicks said: "We showed we can get a result against a very good Bengal side. We rested three of our first 11 in the first period, but this gave us a lot of fire power to bring off the bench. I would say we are pleased, but it's also a relief as we had a poor October".

Southend Manor secured a terrific 2-1 win at Burnham Ramblers.

Wayne Seak’s men netted twice in 15 minutes to take a 2-0 lead before they were pegged back.

But they held on for an impressive win.
