East Thurrock 4–1 Farnborough
From Rookery Hill
Ryman Premier League
EAST Thurrock United’s superb late show saw them score four times in the final 14 minutes to beat lowly Farnborough.
Sixteen-year-old Darren Phillips scored two minutes after climbing off the bench to level the match, with Rocks having trailed since the 23rd minute.
On loan Dagenham & Redbridge striker Adam Yusuff and Tom Wraight securing the points.
Rocks fancied their chances against a side that had lost all eight of their matches on the road so far this term.
But it was a first half to forget. Gary MacDonald put the away side ahead midway through the half to leave John Coventry’s men trailing at the break.
But Phillips’ introduction brought about a change. He scored within two minutes, with Yusuff netting his first for the club five minutes later.
Wright made it 3-1 with five minutes to go before Yusuff completed the scoring.
East Thurrock: Lidakevicius, Sammons, Miller, Scott, Wood, Craddock, Wraight, Gilbey (Phillips), Yusuff, Smith, Honesty
