HULLBRIDGE Sports will be looking to continue their momentum in the Essex Senior League when Sawbridgeworth Town visit Lower Road tomorrow afternoon.

Sports are joint top after 10 games and have been impressive in the early months of the season, while the same cannot be said of Sawbridgeworth.

Usually one of the division’s front-runners, they are languishing in 19th and are without a win in six matches ahead of tomorrow’s encounter.

But Sports manager Rob Hodgson is taking nothing for granted.

“It is a long season and there is a long way to go,” he said. “They are physical and will be hard to play against, as they always are.”

Charlie Gerada is a doubt and Bradley Morgan is out for Sports.

Basildon United will be keen to re-discover their winning touch against Barkingside, having drawn their last two matches.

The two lie seventh and sixth in the standings, albeit Barkingside have played a game more.

And Bees boss Aaron Bloxham is keen to secure all three points.

“I was disappointed with the draw last weekend against Haringey & Waltham as many players shied away from the chance to keep the shirt. As tough a test as this will be, we are all up for it.”

Basildon will welcome back Hamid Zamani, Joe Skeels and Lee Delf.

Southend Manor begin their FA Vase journey against West Essex at Southchurch Park.

Three points separate Manor from the improving West Essex outfit in the Essex Senior League.
