l RUNDOWN: Canvey will be hoping to take their recent form into the FA Cup second qualifying round after some excellent recent displays.

Tony Stokes’ late penalty saw off a good Dunstable Town side in the last round and, while that match looked a tough ask, this is a game the Gulls will be expected to win.

Potters Bar play in the Southern League Division One Central but have made a good start to the league season, sitting sixth having lost just one in their first seven matches.

But Canvey won’t mind that, although they will want to tighten up defensively with 13 goals conceded in their first seven league games.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Gulls chief Danny Heale said: “The Havant game was a bit of a blip (4-0 loss) but they were a very good side. We had a good reaction against Wakering (6-1) and I have some serious headaches. I have three top class forwards and it will be tough. They are all doing very well. It is a good headache to have but we may have to rotate.

“We may be expected to win this but look at Ipswich Wanderers last year where we should have won but lost. We will learn from our mistakes. I have had them watched, but it will be a cup final for them.

"We must match them.”

l TEAM NEWS: Stokes could start, Lee O’Leary could play. Jack Simmons struggling, Marlon Agyakwa is out.
