BASILDON United manager Aaron Bloxham has called on his team to be more clinical in front of goal when they welcome Stansted in the Essex Senior League tomorrow.
The Bees are three without a win after a mixed start to the season, and will want to return to winning ways against Stansted, who themselves have struggled at the start of term.
“We are looking to regroup after last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Barkingside,” said Bloxham. “We were a little unlucky as the game should have been put to bed. Missed chances are costing us at the moment and that has to change.”
Bloxham has his injury concerns, with Bill Crumpton and Jamie Brown away, while top scorer Reece Tranter has returned to Manford Way.
However, Taylor Sinfield and Nathan Dewberry return to the fold, with Hamid Zamani rated 50/50.
Southend Manor host Clapton following an excellent result in midweek.
Stuart Marshall’s team won 2-1 at FC Romania to climb into 10th, but face a tough ask against Clapton, who are sixth ahead of kick-off.
Manor have a fully-fit squad for the encounter at Southchurch Park.
Hullbridge Sports have had a superb start to the season and were top at the time of press (Takeley would re-take top spot with a win at Burnham last night).
Wadham Lodge visit Lower Road tomorrow, with Sports confident of continuing their strong start as Lodge remain in the bottom half of the league.
