BOWERS & Pitsea climbed into the top four after a last-gasp winner saw them overcome the challenge of Haringey Borough.
Bowers were lingering just outside the play-off places ahead of kick-off and knew a win would give them a great chance of pushing into that top five.
The first-half saw both sides cancel each other out although Bowers, so often on the score-sheet, did get the goal before the half was out.
Brad Warner was brought down in the penalty area and he picked himself up to power home from the spot.
Warner and Lewis Manor were linking up brilliantly but Haringey started the second period the brighter.
Martyn Guest made an excellent save to preserve the lead but he was helpless to keep out the equaliser.
Ralstone Gabriel blasted home from range as Bowers continue to probe for an opening against a resilient defence.
But they did get the goal they needed in the dying embers, following some more top saves from Guest.
Warner struck the post and substitute Fahad Nyanja prodded home from close range to make it 2-1.
Bowers & Pitsea: Guest, Pethers, Russell, Stokes, Waters, Sartain, Hine, Thomas (Nyanja), Manor, Warner, Hilton (Stevens)
