l RUNDOWN: Billericay are a team on form, having won five from five in September.

Tuesday’s 3-2 win at AFC Sudbury lifted Town to 10th in the standings, after they had loitered around the bottom in the early weeks of the season.

And, such is the state of the table, a win tomorrow could lift them to within touching distance of the play-offs.

Worthing were not in action this week, after opponents Merstham had to squeeze in an FA Cup replay, meaning they have had a full-week’s training after they too booked their place in the third qualifying round of the competition.

The south coast side have also accrued 10 points so far this season, but have played a game less than Billericay.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Town manager Craig Edwards said: “We are playing well and getting to where we want to be. It always seems to take a bit of time but things are looking good.

“We are still learning lessons. We should have been comfortable against Sudbury but got complacent.

“We have come from behind three times to win in this five-match run. We will be a good side, but are not there yet.

“I don’t know much about Worthing but I know they play good football. It will be tough and I have had reports on them and we will look to exploit their weaknesses.”

l TEAM NEWS: Ricky Sappleton is set to continue at centre-back.
