CRICKET: Hadleigh & Thundersley secured a four wicket win against Buckhurst Hill.

Buckhurst opted to bat first after winning the toss and were bowled out for 182.

Adam Dobson took 3/44 before Hadleigh made it home for the loss of six wickets.

Adam Soilleux scored 46 not out to see Hadleigh home while Roy Smith added 46 and Carl Lees 36 not out to secure a victory which saw Hadleigh go sixth in the Premier Division standings.

In Division One, Billericay suffered a three wicket defeat against Epping in a top of the table clash.

Billericay - who started the day in pole position - were put into bat first and were bowled out for 176.

Raynard Van Tonder top scored with 89 while fellow opener Arjun Bhardwaj hit 44.

But Billericay went from 157/4 to 176 all out before Epping reached the required total for the loss of seven wickets.

Ellis Pickering took 4/71 with the ball for Billericay and Ross Poulton 3/36 but it was not enough to stop their side suffering a defeat which saw Epping replace them at the top of the table.

In Division Two, Benfleet beat Westcliff by 56 runs.

Benfleet opted to bat first and made 186 with opener Sam Rowe leading the way with 52.

Hammad Ul Hassan was the star bowler for Westcliff as he took seven wickets for 32 runs.

But, in reply, Westcliff were dismissed for 130.

Ul Hassan top scored with 54 but Callum Wheeler (4/43) and Ross Casson (4/18) saw second from bottom Benfleet secure victory.

Bottom of the table Wickford suffered a narrow one wicket defeat against Aztecs.

Wickford were bowled out for 193 with Paul Corps scoring 66 and Craig Smith 46.

But Aztecs made it home for the loss of nine wickets despite the best efforts of Cameron Brown who took 6/36.

Old Southendian & Southchurch suffered a six wickets defeat against Woodford Wells.

Southendian scored 188/5 with opener Hafiz Yawer Afzal hitting 108 not out before Woodford Wells made it home for the loss of four wickets.

In Division Three, Leigh on Sea drew with Woodford Green.

Eighth placed Leigh scored 229/8 with George Thurlow scoring 57 and Dean Waller 52.

In reply, Woodford Green ended on 199/9 despite the best efforts of Joe Sexton who took 5/69.

In Division Four, Southend & EMT beat Roding Valley by six wickets.

Roding were dismissed for 207 with Adam Hunt taking 5/51 before Southend made it home for the loss of four wickets.

Hemanth Kumar Venkatakrishna top scored with 90 and Southend now sit fifth in the standings.
