LADY Captain’s Day overall winner at Boyce Hill was 21-handicapper Pauline Clark, whose net 67 saw her capture the Captain’s Prize and Pat Skeels Trophy.

Lin Shepherd (22) was runner-up on 68 with Chris Noden (15) a shot further back.

Scratch Prize and Silver Scratch Cup went to Joanne Herd, who plays off six, on gross 77.

Novice Cup (handicaps 33 – 36) went to Angela Turner (35) on net 80 Parker Wardman Cup (handicaps 21 – 36) was won by Linda McGown (31) on 74.

Nearest the pin on the 18th was Pauline Clark, while nearest the line on the 13th was Louise Daniels. Longest drive on the seventh was by Joanne Herd.

The Past Captains’ Prize was won by Shirley Holmes and the Committee Prize went to Linda Mcgown.

In the afternoon team competitions the front nine holes were won by the team of Jan Hubbard, Sheila Mayfield, Ann Holt and Pat Gilchrist with a score of 41 points.

The back nine went to Pauline Clark, Francis Spicer, Jenny Darwin and Sue Kaye with 46 points.

l CONDITIONS favoured the Saturday players in Ballards Gore's July medal where four competitors played below their handicap.

In stark contrast only one played to their allowance on Sunday.

On Saturday Tony Gibb (13) used the conditions to his advantage to take the division one medal with a gross 79, net 66.

His round included birdies on holes four, six, nine and 17, but were countered by double bogeys on five,10 and 15. His handicap is now down to 11.

In second place with a net par round of 73 was Keith Sanders (12) while third place went to Steve Hawes (5) from Paul Kicks (10) after both finished on net 74. It was much tighter in division two where countback decided that Malcolm Parkes (21) pipped Lee Clark (21) for the medal after both finished with net 69.

Parkes had a seven on the par four second and a nine on the par four fifth. Both have had their handicaps cut to 19. Mark Taglioni (27) was third with net 72.

Sunday's division one medal went to Gary Botfield (12) with net 73 followed by Jack Baldry (5) (74) and Josh McAlpine (4) net 75.

Division two was won by Steve Kershaw (17) net 75 followed by Bob Gosling (18) net 77 with countback deciding third place in favour of Kieran Hodgson (22) from Glen Baldry (16) after both finished with net 78.
