BLUES boss Paul Sturrock was delighted to see his side beat Torquay United 2-1 at Roots Hall yesterday.

But he was far more satisfied with the opening 45 minutes than the second.

“The first half was very sweet, but the second half was very sour,” said Sturrock.

“Torquay are a good side but I thought our plan worked very well in the first half.

“That’s probably the best we’ve played here but in the second half we ended up defending in our box too much.

“There are certainly things to learn from this game.”
