ANTHONY Grant’s new-found goalscoring prowess helped Blues knock Torquay United off the top of the League Two table on Saturday.

The former Chelsea trainee went 79 games and almost two years without a goal for Southend United.

But he has now netted in his last two league outings.

And the 23-year-old was delighted to again be on target in a 2-1 triumph over the Gulls at Roots Hall.

“It’s a great feeling,” said Grant. “I hadn’t scored in quite some time, so to get two in two in the league is quite a feat for me.

“I can’t believe my luck at the moment and I don’t know what’s going to happen next.

“But if I score again next week I think I might retire!”
