WE’RE entering the unknown tomorrow in many ways as we head to Hinckley.

This is my tenth year at Southend and I think it is the first time Hinckley have been playing in the National Leagues.

We therefore don’t really know what to expect about them but we go in to the game in good shape after winning our opening day of the season against Richmond last weekend.

The first 50 minutes of that match were probably the best we have played in a good year or so it was an encouraging way to get going It’s good for the confidence and it was important to get off to a good start because we didn’t do that last year.

At the same time, we’re not content or satisfied with winning just one game and we want to now push on and get a lot more.

I was also among the try scorers against Richmond and I normally score in batches so hopefully there are more to come in the next few weeks.

But, in truth, I’m not really too bothered about all that and making sure we’re winning matches is all that matters.

MEET THE PLAYERS

Andrew Frost

As part of my column I will be telling Echo readers about my team-mates at Warners Bridge.

First up is Andrew Frost who we’ve nicknamed Frascoigne of Frazza.

It’s to do with Paul Gascoigne and it’s come around because Frosty has multi personalities and you’re never really too sure which one you’re going to get!
