Billericay chop shop with parts of stolen cars uncovered

Essex Police's stolen vehicle intelligence unit were led to the chop shop in the Billericay area following a tracker activation in Blind Lane on Saturday.

Stolen cars and bikes from the Metropolitan Police area were found in parts, with one car in the process of being stripped.

Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We have arrested two men on suspicion of handling stolen goods after police received reports that a stolen vehicle was in Blind Lane, Billericay, on 27 April.

"At the scene were a number of car parts we believe may have been taken from stolen vehicles."
